Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) certified paperboard

IPI aseptic carton packaging is made of paperboard for up to 72 percent. Although we don’t own or manage any forests, we apply our purchasing policy to promote responsible forest management. In fact, given the widespread use of paperboard in our packaging, it is important for us to make sure that this material comes from forests that are managed responsibly, from an environmental, economic and social point of view.

Forests managed responsibly

Our paperboard comes from wood from forests certified to FSC standards and other controlled sources. We see FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) as offering a credible universal standard, because it is an international non-governmental and non-profit organisation, which aims to promote the responsible management of forests in the world.

The FSC license code for IPI is FSC-C106464.

FSC Chain of Custody

We achieved full FSC Chain of Custody certification that allows you to trace the wood fibers at every stage of the supply chain, ensuring that any product bearing the FSC logo supports forest management based on environmentally-friendly, socially advantageous and economically sustainable practices. In this way we guarantee the traceability of the paperboard used in our aseptic carton packages from the forests until the arrival in our converting plant.

We can supply FSC-labelled packages and we actively encourage our customers to display the FSC logo on their liquid cartons as it is easily recognizable and consumers believe it is increasingly important to make a responsible choice towards the environment.
