IPI wins BestInFlexo 2016 award for quality of flexographic printing

The new COOP-branded vegetable broth packaging, printed at the cutting-edge plant of IPI in Pierantonio, Italy, was awarded BestInFlexo 2016 by the Italian Technical Association for Flexographic Printing (ATIF).

Through BestInFlexo, ATIF wants to enhance the quality of flexographic printing and promote the systematic adoption of parameters aimed at improving and greater standardization of printing processes among flexographic printers and converters.

The chief advantages of Flexography are that it is fast, adaptable, good for color and continuous images while employs ink that dries nearly instantly. Innovations in flexo plate technology is key to drive manufacturing efficiency as well as reaching best quality for carton packaging printing.

The verdict of the flexographic printing quality award - based on evaluation criteria such as accuracy of colour register, clarity of text and images as well as tonal rendering compared to material used - makes us very proud.

We are honoured to have been awarded on this golden occasion from ATIF considering it an important recognition of our great experience, professionalism and daily work quality. Huge investments carried out at the Italian factory (including the purchase of the new Uteco printing machine) have played a central role in reaching the highest level in aseptic multilayered paperboard printing.
